SARA Trade Mission in Ivory Coast
TheRockGroup, your go-to consultancy in sustainability, went to the heart of West Africa, to join the Trade Mission in Ivory Coast during the highly anticipated SARA.
At the Trade Mission we presented a workshop on our impact-oriented business case, developed in collaboration with Spaak Circular Solutions B.V. and LONO Côte d’Ivoire, focused on agricultural waste valorization in Ivory Coast.
To inspire, we shared a few best-practices for formulating circular business plans from agri waste. Not only has agricultural waste management environmental value, but also social value like improved communities wellbeing and employment and skills development.
What’s the Trade Mission all about?
Ivory Coast is experiencing a rapid surge in its agricultural sector, and the Ivorian government is committed to nurturing its growth in a sustainable manner. That’s why the Netherlands and Ivory Coast have joined forces to organize a Trade Mission in conjunction with SARA – a prestigious biennial fair that draws in around 300,000 visitors, focusing on the agricultural sector in West Africa.
Why were we there?
This year, as the honored guest country at SARA, the Netherlands has set up a special pavilion showcasing our nation’s expertise in sustainable agriculture. This knowledge is particularly relevant for West Africa and Ivory Coast. We’re proud to be stationed at this Dutch pavilion, where we aim to connect with potential partners interested in our specialized services.
Looking Forward:
We are eager to make meaningful connections, forge new alliances, and explore opportunities to amplify our impact in the region. We firmly believe that our expertise holds the potential to drive transformative change in West Africa.
