Webinar #2. Biodiversity: How To Put it on the Agenda
On the 22nd of March 2022, we hosted our first webinar for sustainability managers from all over the world, and it was a great success. As always, we are happy to facilitate discussions and provide a platform for knowledge and experience sharing. In our next webinar, named Biodiversity: How To Put it on the Agenda, we aim to enable Sustainability Managers from all over the world to make biodiversity a topic of high priority within their organizations. This second session of our six-part Sustainability Managers Webinar series will take place on the 21st of April.
Biodiversity
According to Sir David Attenborough, “It’s surely our responsibility to do everything within our power to create a planet that provides a home not just for us, but for all life on Earth”. Indeed, human life relies heavily on the earth’s ecosystems and their biological variety. Put differently, it is the complexity of natural life that sustains our economies and societies in many ways.
For instance, good biodiversity provides us with a wealth of natural resources, increased fertility, and efficient ways to offset carbon emissions. Not to mention the fundamental building blocks of human life, such as clean air, safe drinking water, and nutritious foods. We depend on biodiversity and every business has an impact on biodiversity. It is, therefore, safe to say that biodiversity concerns all businesses across the globe, and should be on every organization’s priority list.Â
So, how can you increase interest in biodiversity in your HR, sales, or supply chain departments? How can you empower your colleagues to become guardians of biodiversity? And, most importantly, how do you assess your organization’s impact or dependency on biodiversity? In the upcoming webinar Biodiversity: How To Put it on the Agenda, we will bring sustainability managers together in an interactive learning environment to find answers to these questions. Note that access to our webinars is free but exclusively for sustainability managers.Â
