SDG Traineeship:
The very first in the world kicks off in the Netherlands.
TheRockGroup together with the SDG House Network have launched the very first SDG Traineeship in the world. In 2015 all member states of the United Nations agreed on a progressive vision of the future for 2030: a sustainable world where everyone feels at home. To actually achieve this goal, 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) were developed, which serve as a roadmap for a better future.
What is the “SDG Traineeship”?
During this traineeship, young professionals are linked with companies to gain experience in the practice of sustainable entrepreneurship. They are presented with a specific case from a ‘client’ and work as a multidisciplinary team. The young professionals receive professional guidance to successfully complete the assignment and thus make a real impact. As the SDG’s can help shape our economy in a future-orientated and people-orientated way, the SDG Traineeship is attractive for every student and organization that understands that “business for good” is the new normal instead of “business as usual”.
Edition Number 1: Kick-off March 2021
The first edition now has more than 125 trainees and more than 20 clients – a sign that more and more entrepreneurs and young professionals see the importance of the SDGs. Today the traineeship officially starts and the participants will follow the traineeship for the coming 15 weeks at companies and organizations to become real SDG professionals who learn how to make an impact.
You are an organisation with a SDG-related challenge or a trainee interested in working towards the goal? Join the next edition in September! Apply and find more information here: https://www.sdghouse.org/sdg-traineeship/
