Royal Tropical Institute - SDG House

The Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) is an independent centre of expertise, education, intercultural cooperation and hospitality dedicated to sustainable development. To enhance its work, KIT decided to explore the options to develop a Sustainable Development Goals House (SDG House): a place that brings together organizations and individuals contributing to the SDG’s. KIT asked TheRockGroup to advise them on how to successfully grow this initiative.

Context

KIT Royal Tropical Institute is an independent centre of expertise and education for sustainable development. They assist governments, NGOs and private corporations around the world to build inclusive and sustainable societies, informing best practices and measuring their impact. Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations, their work focuses on Gender, Global Health, Intercultural Communication and Sustainable Economic Development. In this context the KIT launched the SDG House as a rally point for organizations and individuals that aim to contribute to achieving the SDG’s. After launching it they asked TheRockGroup to advise them on how to further develop the SDG’s, focus its ambitions and activities and create more added value in the wider ecosystem.

Our Work

We mapped several possibilities and provided KIT with a range of options in the strategic and business design of the SDG House and a clear advice on further development of the SDG House.
