MVO Nederland - International CSR Chemical Sector

MVO Nederland (“CSR Netherlands”) aimed to start an initiative stimulating CSR in international chemical sector value chains. TheRockGroup delivered the research in preparation for this new initiative to provide CSR-NL with sector insights, chemical companies attitudes towards CSR in an international context, business needs and the potential added value CSR-NL could have.

Context

For more than a decade MVO Nederland has been working to engage businesses in the Netherlands and beyond to become part of the sustainability transition. Being the network organisation for CSR and sustainable business in the Netherlands, they are perfectly placed to initiate and guide sector cooperation in enhancing sustainability. Expanding their original focus on Dutch businesses, they now also explicitly work on CSR in an international context.

Our Work

TheRockGroup worked with MVO Nederland on an exploratory study in preparation for an international CSR initiative focussing on the chemical sector. In this study we engaged with a range of chemical companies while mapping the realities, needs, barriers and opportunities for joint action on sustainability in the sector.
