Chrysal - Sustainability Program Development
TheRockGroup helped Chrysal to create a structured sustainability program. With input from three working sessions with Chrysal, a 3-year sustainability implementation plan was created.
Context
Chrysal is a main driving force in the flower and plant industry and worldwide market leader in flower food. Whether you grow, transport, sell, or simply enjoy the beauty of cut flowers and potted plants in your own home, Chrysal has products to keep them looking fresh for longer. Chrysal supplies premium flower care products which condition cut flowers for optimal quality, resulting in a longer using time for flowers. The Dutch founded company is present in countries that are of major importance in the flower and plant industry, either because of their grower areas (South America, Africa, Asia) or because of their market position in trade and retail (Western Europe, USA and Japan). TheRockGroup was asked to help further develop Chrysal’s sustainability program.

Our Work
TheRockGroup advised in determining relevant sustainability themes and overall ambitions. The chosen sustainability topics included themes as ‘fighting climate change’ and ‘contributing to a circular economy’. Moreover, we supported Chrysal in embedding sustainability within the management cycle by setting the ambition, targets and KPIs as well as creating a 3-year sustainability implementation plan. The aim of the implementation plan is to enhance Chrysal in setting the example in the flower and plant industry in terms of sustainability. During this project TheRockGroup interacted closely with Chrysal in different working sessions to ensure a tailor-made implementation plan.
